OUR MISSION
Supporting the prevention of substance abuse and addiction by funding prevention and intervention organizations, creating new and innovative educational programs and public awareness campaigns in our communities.
At this very moment, somewhere a child is for the first time trying some kind of drug or drink - or both. Statistics show the child will try again and again, and before he or she realizes, an addiction has begun...and the child's life is changed forever.
SAVING ANGELS began with one father's courage and determination to overcome the devastating loss of a beloved son and daughter to prescription drugs and heroin use. In January 2007, Thomas Hamilton began calling family and friends asking for their help in organizing a golf tournament in honor of his children, Phil and Melissa. By the end of February 2007 Saving Angels was formed. As the interest in our group grew so did our mission and goals, as well as the avenues to achieve them. In May 2007 Saving Angels became a registered charitable organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - it was then that we knew a formidable adversary in the battle against substance abuse and addiction was born. With your support and the continued support of family and friends, we will continue to fight this horrific dependency until it is no longer a threat to our children, our families, and our way of life.
